Meet the 2025-2025 TMES PTA Executive Board

Hi, I’m Kate Mitchell and I’m excited to be your TMES pta president! I have three kids; Sydney in 5th, Rowan in 3rd and Emerson in 1st grade. I am also a mcps ELD (English Language Development) so I have some insight as to how to support our teachers and staff at TMES.

As a president I will provide leadership and organization, and will continue the wonderful programs and events we have at TMES.

Hello! I’m Colleen Harbison, parent of two girls (Macey & Morgan) currently in 2nd & 3rd grade at TMES. I am the spouse of an MCFRS firefighter and have been a Montgomery County resident my entire life. I have enjoyed volunteering here over the past few years and would like to step up my game by being your VP of Volunteers.  I believe my boisterous personality and drive to see our community involvement grow will ensure all school and PTA sponsored events continue to thrive through the necessary support of parent volunteers.

Hello! My name is Meghan Shereika, and I’m your VP of Fundraising. I have a son who is currently in 4th grade, and I’ve been a PTA member for the past 2 years since we moved here. Last year I was the PTA Recording Secretary, and I’m excited to stay on the PTA Board and work hard for our community and our kids.

Hi! I’m Maribeth Foelber and I am your PTA treasurer this year. I have been in this role for about half a year and have also been in the VP of Fundraising role for two years. I have a daughter, Aria, who is a 5th grader at TMES  and a TMES alum, Max, who is an 8th grader at Ridgeview. In this role, I am dedicated to keeping the PTA finances in order and ensuring the PTA has strong financial leadership so that we can continue to provide both fun and educational opportunities for all students, families and staff, further building and celebrating the unique and already amazing community spirit we have at TMES!

My name is Erica, your communications chair. I enjoyed leading the PTA as President for 2 years. My goal is to provide inclusive, consistent and clear communications throughout the organization. I can also assist the new PTA leadership in their partnership with our administration, and the PTA’s connection with the broader TMES community. My son Jack is in 2nd grade, and my daughter is a 7th grader at RMS.

My name is Michele Giammittorio and I have a son Harry in 2nd grade and a daughter Annabel who will be attending TMES in the near future! Over the last 2 years, I've had the pleasure of watching the PTA in action and have been really impressed with the team's dedication and commitment to the school community. This year I'd like to contribute my time and effort to help our community as well as the PTA Recording Secretary. I am organized and detail oriented and feel like it would be a great fit!

Hi! I'm Tangara and I have been in this role for the past 4 years, with this being my 5th year. I have a 5th grader, Maggie, a 3.5yo, Liliana, and a 2 month old, Aurora. In this role I enjoy gathering information from the MDBOE, MCCPTA and MCPS and bringing it to the TMES community. I also serve as the co-chair for staff appreciation and work with the QO cluster coordinator to share and gather information from schools in our cluster. I plan to be around TMES for several more years and want to do all in my power to support our school in it's growth.

Teacher Appreciation Initiatives My name is Daniela de la Piedra and I’m serving as a Member at Large tosupport the TMES community. I recently served as VP of Volunteers and really enjoyed helping to plan events for the school and ensure their success with parent volunteers. My daughter Gigi will be in 3rd grade and my son Freddie will be in 1st grade. 

My name is Rebecca and I would like to continue contributing to the PTA and school community as a Member at Large for a second year. The PTA board is extremely collaborative and I enjoy helping out where I can, whether co-chairing Cultures Night, leading the Manna Food Drive, or behind-the-scenes work to assist our other Board members. My son, Julian, will be in 2nd grade, and I also have a 4 year old daughter who will soon be a TMES student! 

My name is Shannon Sisco and I would like to continue supporting TMES and the community as the TMES NAACP Representative. I have four children that have been students here at TMES. However, we will only have one Sisco in the building in 2nd grade next year! With a son in 6th grade at RMS, 10th grade QOHS and another finishing his graduate degree at Carnegie Mellon University, I am seasoned and knowledgeable with the growth and changes in MCPS/Moco.  As I am familiar with community members in leadership, it’s helpful in continuing to keep the TMES community informed. 

Hello! My name is Kathryn and I have two children at TMES- Zachary is a rising 1st grader  and Casey is a rising 4th grader. I have been helping with the main hallway bulletin board this past year and I’ve really enjoyed getting more involved with the PTA. I’m looking forward to continuing with the bulletin boards and helping wherever else is needed!

My name is Sam. I have two daughters at TMES: Hannah in 2nd grade and Leily in kindergarten. I am eager to join the PTA for the upcoming school year and offer my assistance and support in any way needed. I am excited to be part of the PTA and contribute to its ongoing success!

My name is Alfredo. I have two kids at TMES, Gigi in second, Freddie in K. I also have two older daughters and having been involved with the PTA when they were in school, I know the value the PTA provides to the school community. I am excited to take on a more formal role as a MCCPTA rep to inform the community and make sure we make impactful decisions for our school.
